INFO: Radiant Orchid is the Color of the Year

The Pantone Color of the Year is "Radiant Orchid." (Pantone)

If you’re not familiar with this specific shade, it’s like a pinky-purple.

“Radiant Orchid blooms with confidence and magical warmth that intrigues the eye and sparks the imagination,” said Pantone, the company that selects the Color of the Year. “It is an expressive, creative and embracing purple—one that draws you in with its beguiling charm. A captivating harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid emanates great joy, love and health.”
 

Wondering how to incorporate radiant orchid into your life? Choose it as a nail color or incorporate it into your wardrobe. The “rosy undertones radiate on the skin, producing a healthy glow when worn by both men and women,” according to Pantone.

If you’re looking to use it in your home, it’s a “gorgeous combination when paired with turquoise, teal and even light yellows.”

Pantone’s annual color coronation is one part cultural indicator and one part marketing forecast. The choice is influenced by movies in production, fashion runways, traveling exhibitions, new artists, technology, travel hot spots, sports and other socio-economic conditions.

Last year’s top color was Emerald. In 2012 it was Tango.

THOUGHTS: How's my 2013?

Just finished posting my blog about the 2013 Noisemakers of the Year couple of minutes ago. Ito yung mga bagay, tao at pangyayari na nag ingay ng bongga sa Pinas. Kahit nasa ibang bansa ang lola nyo, gusto ko ganap lagi ang knows ko sa Pinas. Yung mga chikka everyday, dapat pak na pak sa knowledge ko para hindi nman nakakahiya sa ibang utaw kapag kinausap nila at tanungin, tapos biglang, ay! wa knows ang lola nyo, kahiya diba.

Anyways, so yun ang chikka ng bansa natin for 2013. At dahil blog ko to, dapat may chikka din ang 2013 ko. :) Balik tanaw lang sa mga kaganapan, yung iba char char, pero xempre mas madaming tarush at bonggang bonggang chikka sa 2013 ko.

January 28 - Birthday ng aking buddy hubby. He's an Aquarian, same with my mom. We had a simple dinner with friends. Symepre, ang gift hindi mawawala. Nakalimutan ko na yung gift ko, lacoste watch yata hahahah!

February 14 - at dahil 1st Valentine's Day namin as Mr/ and Mrs. Teves, sweet sweet-an ang lolo nyo (abay kilig much naman!) He asked me to come home early, akala ko, kakain kami sa mala Burj Al Arab Hotel  (kahit sa Dubai lang meron nun). Sunod naman ako, pagdating ko - ayyyy! daig pa ang 7star Hotel, may dinner dinneran sa house, kasweet lang!

March 31 - Well, as I have said earlier, hindi lahat ng ganap sa 2013 ko eh tarush na tarush, katulad na lang nitong March 31, 2013. May pa sched schedule pa ng bongga at plans, char lang nman pala... :) Pero keribels lang, God has always a better plan than ours.

April 05 - Seasons of Love is coming to Town! Kaya nman grab agad ng ticket for VIP ang lolo at lola nyo together with our friends here, at voilah! Harap harapan lang ang peg namin. Sulit at nakakain lurvee!

May 20 - My sisteraka's Happy 34th Birtdhay, and 1st day on her new job, in Singapore, yihaaaa! hayst sobrang thankful kaming lahat when we learned about that. Kaya nman kahit malayo kaming mag asawa, we managed to congratulate sya (as expected, may paiyak iyak pa ang peg sa SG) hehehehe, kaya para sa nag iisang Maid of Honor namin ni Pardz, madaming muah muah tsup tsup! Gift nmin ha :D

Buong Ganap ng wedding ditetch:

June 15 - Furutasan had his farewell Party. Nakakasad ng bongga kasi plangak na plangak lang ang peg ng hapon na ito. Supah dupah bait, pero supah dupah strict sa details. Ganbatte Kudasai Furutasan! Hope to see you again...

July 22 - Wow! Syempre, moment na naman ito ni Pardz - our 1st Wedding Anniversary. Nothing extravagant or fireworks or banda puti sa flat. We go to church, we dine, we watched a movie, and then exchange gift hahahah! <3 Probably the best anniversary we have, (isang taon pa lang, so isaing anniversary pa lang hahah!)

August 31 - Debut ng Mudra ni Mudak, inshort, 80th Birtdhay ng Lola / Mamang ng Bayan. At nakamotiff pa tlga, hot red! Kahit na mejo mahina na ang Lola namin, she's so blessed naman with healthy heart and mind, and of course, spiritually. Rumarampa pa with red Revlon lipstick, at the age of 80, sangkapa?!?!!?  ;)

September 06 - ayan, matapos ang 10 nakaka antok na Byernes (buti na lang lagi aming may foodtrip sa breaktime heheh), finally! natapos din.

Buong tarush ng kwento ditetch:

October 14-16 - at Dahil Eid Holiday, mahaba ang bakasyon ng Lolo at Lola nyo, pero dahil hindi pa pwedeng magtravel si Buddy hubby outside Qatar (he just started at KEO last July), so tambay muna kami sa lupain na mabuhangin at masandstorm na Qatar. Buti na lang maraming ganap na pwedeng puntahan. kaya naman, hehe, sulit to death ito - LogosHope, Relic Exhibit and Dhow Cruise!

November 30 - Multiply Life by the Power of 32! Yes, I am already 32 and I am proud of my age, ayiii! hayst, my wrinkles na nga yata ako hahaha! Syempre stripes ang ganap sa Birthday ko. :D

December 25 - Happy Birthday Papa Jesus! the king of all Kings, our Mighty Saviour and Greatest Provide Ever! kaya nman, as tradition, hindi pwedeng walang Christmas Party ang tropa, and this time, todong todo na tlga - Kiddie Christmas PArty of the Year, hahahah!

So yan, yan na yan na yan ang mga chikkang pak na pak sa life ko this year. Some will probably say, simple lang pala. Yeah, simple lang, but these people and these events, made my 2013 full and colorful. :)

EVENT: Kiddie Christmas Party 2013

Christmas is ALWAYS the best time to celebrate with your families and friends. But since, we’re here in the Middle East, all we have is our friends. Lucky me, because I’ve got my buddy hubby here with me. But well  my friends here are also considered as family.

So, as “simple tradition” that started last 2011, Flat 12 loves to eat, to celebrate and to have some fun, lAging pak na pak ang Christmas Party. Kahit na from 10, now down to only 5 ladies, we never allow anyone to ruin nor destroy the friendship that we treasure for years. We always find time to understand each other, especially this Holiday Season. Flat 12 always manage to enjoy the birthday of our Lord, by having a simple exchange gifts, games, and food!  Kaya naman, this year, tinodo na namin, and we called it KIDDIE CHRISTMAS PARTY!
