8. Greenhills’ Christmas on Display

What it is: A lights and sounds show with moving mannequins.
Where: Greenhills Shopping Center, San Juan
When: The show runs daily until January 5, 2014. Each show lasts approximately 15 minutes, from 6:30pm until 11pm.

7. Ayala Triangle Gardens Lights and Sounds Show

What it is: Watch 800,000 LED bulbs come to life and “dance” in synchronization with Christmas medleys.
Where: Ayala Triangle, Makati City
When: The show runs daily, every 30 minutes from 6pm to 9pm, until December 31.
How Much: Free

6. Policarpio St., Mandaluyong

What it is: If you think your neighbor’s Christmas decorations are over the top, she has nothing on the residents of Policarpio St. in Mandaluyong City. The houses there are decked with lights and decorations from roof to gate, from windowsill to door frame, from the walls to the trees.
Where: Drive to the Mandaluyong City Hall in Maysilo Circle and ask for directions—everyone in the area knows where it is.
When: Decorations are removed after the first week of January

5. Pyromusical at San Miguel by The Bay, SM - MOA
What it is: A five-minute fireworks display behind the mall
Where: SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City
When: Every Friday and Saturday at 7pm

4. Animals on display at Power Plant Mall
What it is: Every year, the Power Plant Mall puts up a display of animatronic animals that are so lifelike, kids don’t know whether to pose beside them for pictures or run away. This year, instead of situating the animals in just one spot, the mall has positioned them in its various entrances.

What it is: Disney characters come to life in an ice-skating show

Where: CCP Complex, Roxas Boulevard, Manila
When: Open Fridays, Saturday, and Sundays, from 2:00 p.m. to 12 midnight
