THOUGHTS: 1st Eid Dai is Logos Hope Day

It's Holiday! And for sure everyone is looking for a place or event that they could visit, ang haba pa naman ng Eid Holiday, usually 4-6days na walang pasok - time to rest, or maggala, or magmalling, meet up with some friends. Good thing, Logos Hope is here in Doha, and they will be staying until 20th October 2013.

For those who are not so familiar with the Logos Hope, Logos Hope is actually the world's biggest floating book fair. It is operated by GBA - Good Books for All - an internaiton charitable organization from Germany. They started in 1970, and curently manned by more than 400 crew member from more than 50 countries. Saya diba :) They docked last last 10th October at Doha Port, carrying half a million books in more than 5000 titles, at very affordable prices. They are open daily from 2PM - 10PM with 2QAR as the entrance fee. Under 16 years old does not need to pay for the entrance fee, but must be accompanied by an adult.

They also have International Cafe that offers variety of Chicha, na sobrang cheap din ang price.

So my and my buddy hubby decided to visit the fair on Day 1 of our Eid Holiday.
  1. Go to Doha Port, near Museum of Islamic Arts. It is actually on the right side of the Museum.
  2. Follow the queue wherein it will lead you to the ticket booth. Ticket costs 2QAR per entry.
  3. Men and Women will have a separate lane for checking of ID and bag inspection.
  4. After the inspection, you are good to go! :)

For almost 2hours, we have seen so many books, and so many music to choose from. Nakakaenjoy! I didn't notice the time that we spent 2 hours looking and scanning, and checking everything in there. kahit hindi mahilig sa books, for sure may mabibili at mabibili kapag napunta sa Logos Hope. Yung tipong "akala mo lang wala, pero meron! meron! meron!" You will not leave the ship empty handed.

And that is how we spent our Eid Holiday 01.

More to Come,
Rai :)
