The new
sponsorship system will be on contract basis, said the assistant
director of Border Passports and Expatriate Affairs Brig. Mohammed Al
Ateeq in a press conference on Wednesday.
In addition, the new
draft law states that employer will be fined QR 50,000 instead of 10,000
for confiscating passports of employees.
