What
does every fashionista need to know about the upcoming season? Of course, the
newest fashion
trends! And since nothing is as desirable in our wardrobes as a
pair of outstanding shoes, we’ll discuss the spring/ summer 2013 shoe trends
to be able to pick something trendy and lovely, as the sunny days arrive. This
season, footwear trends are extremely diverse, so everyone is sure to find
something according to their likings. Let’s have a look at the key styles and
determine our upcoming season shoe wardrobe!
Trending
#1: Classic High Heels: Hardly
any season would go without this stunning trend. Classic high heels appear in
every designer’s collections, since they are timeless, elegant and feminine. This type of footwear is very practical to have, and you will never experience putting them back on their box and store them in the attic because they're not uso anymore. They will always remain classic.
Trending #2: Metallic Shoes: One of the hottest footwear trends of the new
season is metallic shoes. While most of the designers opted for silver and gold
heeled sandals and pumps, Prada, Moschino, Fendi, Balmain, and Emporio Armani are spotted.
Trending
#3: Architectural Shoes: Geometric vibes! Yeah yeah, a crazy idea that
into turned into a biggest craze. Lady Gaga would be soo proud of this one
because Fendi, Missoni, Guy Laroche are following this trend. ( I was thinking,
wala bang engineering shoes hehehe!)
Trending #4: Transparent Shoes: Designers all over the world worked so hard and
be inspired by Cinderella shoes, making it the one of biggest fashion trend of
the season. So if you want to look like a princess this spring, make sure to
get a pair of transparent shoes from Valentino, Donna Karan, Michael Kors,
Stella McCartney and Veronique Leroy.

#5: Printed Shoes: Floral prints, checks, polka dots, geometric
patterns, pixels and other are everywhere this spring, on the clothing pieces,
bags and even shoes. Check out these shoes Kate Spade, Betsey Johnson, Chris
Benz, Custo Barcelona, Emerson, J. Crew, Nicole Miller, Stella McCartney and
others. (I remember Juris’ shoes during their Seasons of Love Concert here in
Qatar. That really caught my eyes).

Trending #6: Reptile Skin Shoes: Even though some designers opted for some small details in reptile skin,
such as straps, animal printed shoes are old classics retain their desirability
factor. Like almost any season, this upcoming spring/ summer too, the reptile
skin shoes dominate. For inspiration, look to Gucci, Derek Lam, Kenzo, Anna
Sui, Mugler, Harve Leger and, of course, Roberto Cavalli.

#7: Colorful and Color-Blocked Shoes: Amidst
versatile black, white, brown and earthy toned shoes, the upcoming warm season
brings lots of cheerful colors too. The neon shoe trend and color-blocked shoes
are still trendy this warm season. Orange, yellow, green, purple, electric
blue, red, purple, pink… any color will work. Don’t’ forget to visit Primadonna
if you want a pair of shoes like this.
Trending #8: Masculine-Inspired Shoes: Personally,
I have a very big heart on this kind of trend! It’s like giving a woman a
chance to be a “man” and still be chic, cool and classy, especially the oxford
shoes, (drooling!). Borrowing from boys has been a wide-spread tendency for
many years already. Men’s style shoes are again a hot trend this upcoming warm
season too. Victoria Beckham is the first one spotted on this trend.
Trending
#9: Studded Shoes, Rhinestones, Watches and Metallic Details: Studs, rhinestones, chains and other metallic
details are having a moment now and they will be extremely hot this season. Fendi
is the responsible designer for this trend, and it’s really working.

Trending #10: Chunky Heels: Remember the “clogs” during the 90’s? yeah,
this is like a new clogs version 2-point-o,braver, bolder, fiercer (Laida Magtalas
Mode)… =) Heavy shoes are too hot to be missed. Sometimes it looks like
mabigat sa paa, but it’s not. It still depends on the materials that they used.
And thanks to Chanel, Balenciaga and Bottega Veneta for bringing them back to
life.
So there you have it, shoes for spring 2013.
Though there are still a lot out there, these are just some of them. You can
try one of them, --- or all of them! It’s a girl thing anyway. =) But hey! It
doesn’t matter if you have a branded shoes or just plain pair of footwear you bought
from a thrift shop or flea market. You
don’t have to buy signature brands all the time just to get attention and be on
track. Don’t forget, no matter how expensive or cheap your shoes are, as long you
are confident and comfortable wearing them,
it’s going to be a blast. Remember, shoes always make, or break anyone’s outfit.
=)
Beautiful shoes will bring you to beautiful places...(bo)
